Hi to all,

I have a database in my Windows 2003 server and oracle 9i installed on it working find. we are using our client pc on the network to access the database on the server through our application program which is build under java swing.

I want to create a client application which will use the browser to access the database only for generating reports.

Can any one suggest how should i go about.

I hope my queary is clear. If any further information is required please let me know.

"Browser" means "web". If you have an Oracle application server, you could create reports using Oracle Developer Suite (Reports Builder). Otherwise, there are other web servers capable of running reports (such as Apache Tomcat) and Jasper Reports (iReport), a free reporting tool. Or, you could even utilize Oracle's Application Express.

I'm sure there are other options as well; Google or wait for someone else's opinion.
