pls can any body help me with a server specification for IBM Power series. I need to load 15Milion record per day. about 4 billion records for 3 years. Oracle 11G. I Need this info asap. cpu, ram,hdd

The more RAM you can buy
The more disk you can buy.

Buy them asap.

Just like the "empirical" values that you provided us?

is record only 80 bytes long or Gigabyte BLOB?

record are 80 bytes long

from your calculation of record per sec

what is your suggestion.

Futher Info.

This is actually an Oracle EBS R12 GL Module Server. for both db and application

XLA/FAH is been implemeted also and we are to take 3yrs data from the legaccy system

into the application.

kindly help me out here futher.

i will upload the current server speck for you to see.

please tell me how to send send you the .doc file
