Hi,
We are migrating D2K 5.0 to iDS10gR2. The migrated source is hosted on oracle application server 10g(10.1.2.1.0). While running reports it is consuming substantial amount of CPU(12 to 15 %) on application server. Query of some of these reports are well tunned and costs around 18-25 only. These reports are more than 50 pages and some of these expands to 1500 pages also.

Does anyone has solution/workaround to minimize the CPU consumption.

The structure (i.e. architecture) is ..

  1. One report server with 6 JVM island to run all the report. there are 2500 reports within 20 different modules
  2. More than 500 users
  3. using Oracle application server 10gR2(10.1.2.1.0) for hosting forms and reports
  4. Hardware - Core2Duo CPU with 8 processor (HP Server)
  5. OS - Microsoft Windows 2003 R2
  6. I am using RDF to run report
  7. Because of security reason reports needs to be generated in PDF formats
