I have a report that has one query with two groups.

One group has the general information and the second group has the more detailed information. If there are more than one line of detailed information, it will go to the second line etc.. Otherwise, the general info is on the same line as the detailed info.

So this is what it should look like:

part_number......pallet_number
1..........................13984
............................93939
............................89897

(sorry for the "...." but there doesn't seem to be a way to format a table here)

In the above example, the first field and the second field are in the same query. However, the first field and second field are in different groups. So if there is several pallets of the same item, the item number only shows up on the first line and the pallet numbers show up on the first line and the following lines if there is more than one.

I have one repeating frame around both groups and then another repeating frame around the second group and inside the first repeating frame.

This works well except that when there is only one line for the second group, only one record shows up per page.

Any suggestions?

The solution here is to set each of the repeating frame's vertical elasticity property to "Variable"
