Can't edit report field width to match changed db field width [message #444139]

I have an Oracle Report.

After creating the report, I changed a field width on the database table from varchar2(4) to varchar2(20).

Now Oracle reports won't let me change the field width on the report field to match the database field width.

Anyone?

I was able to fix this by deleting the columns from the report layout and from the query, recompiling, adding back to the query and then back to the layout.

which version you are using?
Oracle Reports, 10.1.2.3, Linux)
Is that 10.1.2.3 your database version?

If you assign the source for that field in the layout then it will automatically takes the width then why you are assigning the width for that ?

I think you'll find the problem was that the width the field was set to was the width of the db column before he changed it.
