Hello,

I would like to know if any of you guys have ever had those dreaded "If you were in the middle of something" crash messages in Report Builder (6i) that leaves you no choice than to Report or Don't Send error to Microsoft or whoever really cares about. I have a serious issue with Report Builder crashing several times when I'm working in Layout view on a lousy rdf. Anything I could do to stop this ordeal?

6i has this problem. Specially when adjusting the layout of the report.
Save your work frequently.

ok then that's what i'll do. Otherwise I guess that anything saved in 10g version is not backward compatible, is it? (because I happen to have both environments)

Unfortunately, that happens quite often. What you might do is to install the latest Reports patch for your operating system, save often (as Shaz has already said) and - reboot the computer (shutdown, not restart).
