Hi Experts,

Assume following scenario-
One from named 'fx' running in PC 'x'. Form 'fy' running in PC 'y'. I need , when user from PC 'y' will insert a new record in database/ or update a record using form 'fy' then running form 'fx' in PC 'x' will automatically show that new/ updated record.

Actually I need to display updated record in a running form, but the update will be done form anoter PC.

I am using Oracle 9i under XP with D2K form 6i

Thanks in advance
Hossain

Perhaps you might create a timer and EXECUTE_QUERY whenever timer expires.

Try database alerts (DBMS_ALERT). At this location they claim to offer a Comprehensive Example.

You should easily get your waiting form to display changed data this way.

Good luck, Kevin

The link is not mine. I found it years ago by doing a search on the web for DBMS_ALERT. I guess whereever it was hosted has taken it down.

No problem. You can search again yourself. Just look on the www for DBMS_ALERT.

good luck. Kevin
