Hi,

Iam converting oracle 6i report to oracle 10g report.
The report in oracle 6i export the data to microsoft excel after the report has generated in pdf.(i.e when the report is displayed in pdf user clicks the button(export to exel button) and the data from the pdf is exported to excel. To export the data to excel OLE2 objects are used.

I know there is web_util.pll and web_util.olb exits in oracle 10g to convert OLE2 objects but this only works for oracle 10g forms but not reports.

does anyone know how we can use the web_util package in oracle 10g reports?

I have also tried standard method of displaying the output in excel in 10g reports but the format is messed up.

How can I reuse the code in existing oracle 6i code which consists of OLE2 object usage in 10g reports?

or any other way of formatting in 10g reports data in excel is greatly appreicated.

Thanks
