how compare two versions of rdf file [message #396477]

Hi All,
i have report with two versions.
i want to compare the both versions of rdf file.
i am unable to find out the difference between the both files.(for rdf file comparison purpose any tool's are there? like winmerge )

You could have given the release version of the reports whether it is 6i or 9i....
Anyway you can change the rdf to rex and compare using any diff tool. rex is a ascii format file.

In 6i, navigation to create rex file is Administration -> convert and mention you file name and type.

Hi vamsi kasina,
in vss database, i have one report(rdf) which was developed in 2007.after that it's modified in 2008.now i want to revert back to old version.but i am unable to find out what is diffence in both the versions(old and new files).i am using reports9i and it was developed in reports9i .

If you are having any version control system, you can directly get the older version and make that as the new version.
Lets say, you have V8 and V9 and you want to go back to V8 then create V10 with V8 code.
Why do you want to check the differences?
As I said earlier, if you really want to check the differences make them as rex and check the difference using any kind of diff tool.

Hi,
yes i converted rdf file into rep for both versions of rdf files.
and then i compare the both rep files by using "WinMerge" and "Axies Merge" Tools.but no use.it is not supporting .rep format.
