I have to update windows xp to windows vista ,
oracle 9i works with windows vista or not.

MS Windows Vista is is not certified with Oracle 9i; though, you might install it and even use it, but there's no guarantee that it will work as it should. Besides, as this operating system + database combination is not certified, there's no support available. Moreover, Oracle 9i is desupported for quite a while now.

Therefore, if you upgrade operating system, consider upgrading database version as well (at least to 10g R2) (check Oracle's certification matrices).

hi littlefoot

But i got some packages developed in oracle 9i,d2k forms 6i,reports 6i. if oracle 9i upgraded to oracle 10g is that forms works fine for 10g, for this reason only i am not able to upgrade to oracle 10g version.

Then don't upgrad to MS Windows Vista either.
