hello all,
we are trying to upgrade oracle from 9.2.0.8 to 10.2.0.4 and catupgrd.sql is failing at " CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE sys.streams$transformation_info " with an end of file on communication channel ..and also dumping a ORA-7445 in the alert.log ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [koputilassert()] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000000] [] [] ..

Did any experienced this before .. ? what could be the issue ..

Oracle says its a bug till 10.2.0.3 and is fixed in 10.2.0.4 patchset .. not sure why am i hitting this in 10.2.0.4 ..

ORA-00600/ORA-07445/ORA-03113 = Oracle bug => search on Metalink and/or call Oracle support

If you already searched then you have to open a SR.

Hello AJ, I have just run into the same issue - an upgrade from 9 to 10 was performed a while back, and just now I am attempting to set up streams and am getting an error that the SYS.STREAMS$TRANSFORMATION_INFO does not exist...
How were you able to get past this and get this object back into your db?
Thanks very much.
