inserting data finto table from a clob column [message #343371]

I have a table that has a column(clob type) which contains a xml file. The file contains the data of a table in xml format. what i need is insert the file data into desired table i.e the xml file data to a table. Pls help me.

Convert the CLOB into an XMLTYPE and then use the extract function on that.
