>display the data from spreadsheets..
on which system do these "spreadsheet" files reside?

Out of the box, Oracle does NOT have the capability to "parse" the contents of an actual spreadsheet (*.xls) file.

What problem are you really, really trying to solve?

sorry for the delayed reply

but i was wondering that apart from sql*loader, and ETL tools,
is there a way to extract data from spreadsheet using
plsql weebtool kit, there is no requirement to solve a problem

thanks

what is done most frequently is the data is saved to a csv or xml file & then sqlloader is used to get the data into the database.

Other than that, You're On Your Own (YOYO)!
