Hi All,

I was reading Oracle Documentation manual(OracleŽ Data Guard Concepts and Administration 10g Release 2 (10.2)Part Number B14239-04).

In section 5.3.1.2 (figure 5-3) ARCn Archival Processing, it is mentioned that ARCn process writes to standby redo log files. But table under section 5.6.2 describes that under Maximum Performance mode configuration, we have two options: either ARCn under ASYNC transmission or LGWR (SYNC or ASYNC).

Please clarify that standby redo log files are not used when ARCn processes are used for redo data transmission.
