Hi all,

i am trying to upgrade my db from 9i to 10g.

Currently, the primary and standby are both solaris.

but i was wondering if when i move to 10g, i can have the primary on a solaris box and the standby on Intel? If yes, what are the consequences or potential hazards that i should look out for?

Any good articles that i may have missed when i did the google surfing?

Thank you!

The Oracle image must be built for the same platform. Therefore, your proposed configuration isn't feasible.

Check Hardware and Operating System Requirements.
