Would appreciate some tips on designing. I have Table Customers (CustID, FName, LName, etc), Table Jobs (JobID, CustID, JobDate, Frequency, JobComplete, Price, (AmountDue, DatePaid, AmountPaid, balance????)).
Where Frequency = the number of days before the jobs rucur. Some Customers pay on time (yes true) but others pay for multiple jobs after they are completed and believe it or some pay in advance. I'm looking for the simplest approach of table design to allow me to create either a query or stored procedure which will carry over the balances when inserting a new job. Should I create a billing table with the columns I've bracketed? Do you know of a sample db I can download to see this in action.
