Hi,

If the maximum size of database equals 20 terabytes,
How much storage space for backing up should be considered?

What type of storage do you recommend?(such as Tape,External Hard,Attached Disk ...)

1/ It depends on the content of the datafiles and if you use compression or not.
2/ It depends on how much you want to pay and what is the time you have to backup and the one to recover.

Thanks for your reply Michel Cadot.
Yes you are right, but I wanted this information for the Feasibility study.
I wanted to know if the maximum size of data equals 20 terabytes, we need backup storage space 20 terabytes? and the previous question on the type of storage ?

You can't know without knowing the points I mentioned.

The type of more data are blob that are not indexed.

And another question:
The system that oracle running on How much RAM should be have and How much of RAM should be allocate to oracle (in the case of the memory management in SGA is automatic)?
IFU:
the Data Block size is 32 KB.
The more of queries retrieves blob data. The size of blob data are between 4 KB and 100 KB.
A query may retrieves 10,000 blob data.

It depends on the usage. Test with the expected workload?
For backup it also counts how many copies you want to keep, what backup mode, how much of it is read only...
