Hi,

I believe, in a multiple RAC Physical Standby nodes only one node applies the archivelogs to the standby database. Can anyone tell me how you can find which node is the APPLY NODE using a SQL query?

I know you can veiw this information by querying the standby configuration using DGMGRL but how would you find out this information from a remote client using SQLPlus/PLSQL?

Thanks,
Vish.

You could query gv$managed_standby, and look for the MRP process.

Hi John,

Thank you, I did see that earlier but I wasn't too sure. What does MRP stand for? Does that process appear all the time regardless of what the status is and is only attached with the apply node?

Regards.
