The standard answer is to submit Service Request, but that option is not available to you.

Nobody here can assist with this predicament.

Yes, Well, here in reality-ville we sometimes work for companies that buy old software and then refuse to upgrade it. Next.

Somewhere on planet earth, a man, or a woman, knows how to fix this problem. Before the internet, // *Action: Contact Oracle Support Services. was really all we could do. Now, we have the option of asking the question and seeing if it piques someones memory. I don't know, so I asked. Apparently you don't know either.

RMAN-00600 is software BUG; that only Oracle can fix.
I strongly suspect that this bug has already been fixed within V11.2 current Oracle release &
the decision has been made for you that living with this bug is better than living without it.

And if you posted the complete listing of what you did and got maybe someone will be able to find a workaround as, anyway, you can't get any patch.

Before posting, Please read OraFAQ Forum Guide and How to use [code] tags and make your code easier to read.
Make sure that lines of code do not exceed 80 characters when you format.
Indent the code, use code tags and align the columns in result.
Use the "Preview Message" button to verify.

Hi, we're just running: backup archivelog all;
As some have mentioned, it's probably been "fixed" or no longer exists, but I can't find it on metalink so I'm kind of suspect that it's a bug, but rather, a problem with our setup. We're a SQL shop so this isn't something we traditionally support or have the staff on hand to effectively review. I did look in the error.log but didn't find any entries pertaining to the problem. Does anyone know if rman uses a set of scripts to perform these actions or where they are?

Do you REALLY think this is a complete listing of your session?
It's up to you, we need information to help you, you don't want to provide the information, you can't help you and you stay with your problem.
We have no problem with this latter.

Regards
Michel
