Hi All,

I am installing Oracle11gR2 on RHEL5.5. We have 2 users with UID "0" for security reasons.

Is there any way to ignore only "Users With Same UID" check. Please note that I do not want to use "-ignorePrereq" as it ignores all requisites.

INFO: *********************************************
INFO: Users With Same UID: This test checks that multiple users do not exist with user id as "0".
INFO: Severity:CRITICAL
INFO: OverallStatus:VERIFICATION_FAILED
INFO:

Thanks,
Gaurav

They are OS users, so remove one of them.

Thanks Michel. Actually we are using customized RHEL5.5. As it is used company wide,we can not edit it. Does Oracle provide any way to disable only "User with Same UID" check ?

Thanks,
Gaurav

The only way is to user the option "-ignoreSysPrereqs" when you launch the installer.
Or you can comment the check in the installer configuration file but this is at your own risks.

No I don't know but you can first search where the error message comes from:
find . -type f -ls -exec grep 'Users With Same UID' {} \;
