It has been discussed previously; I don't have anything new to say about it, so - please, search the board, see what's already been said and then - if you still have some questions - say so.

Download "Code 3 of 9" barcode font (it's free) and install it. place an item on your report, select the source and change the font to "Code 3 of 9". your report comes with barcode in previewer. But wait, make sure to concat an * at both ends of your source value. Hope u success.

@anwar0302 "3 of 9" Barcode Font can't read more then 6 digits.
if we've more then 6 digits then Barcode reader can't read this barcode.

It seems that your "3 of 9" barcode font is a limited version; perhaps a free one which, actually, forces you to buy a commercial (full) version.

Because, saying that - generally - "3 of 9" font is not capable of displaying more than 6 digits is just wrong. How do I know? Because "mine" displays them all.

@Irfan,

You can try the 3of9 i downloaded from
http://www.squaregear.net/fonts/

mine one works excellent. be sure to use font size>18 in your reports
and allow width of your items to accommodate full length of your data- use previewer. Hope it will help.

A Barcode is just a font. You install it the same as any other font.

This steps are simple, and I want to know if it is OK if I remove the two "*" of the code 39?

Your best option is to test it.

In my case: if I didn't use asterisks (*), barcode "looked like a barcode" (had those stripes, no doubt), but barcode scanner was unable to read it.

of course, you can not. the "*" is its stop/start character which is indispensable. Read basic instruction about Code 39 at barcodeisland.com/code39.phtml or barcodelib.com/barcode_software/code39.html
