Hi,

In my alert log, i am getting following errors:

WARNING:Oracle instance running on a system with low open file descriptor limit. Tune your system to increase this limit to avoid severe performance degradation.

select count(*) from dba_data_files;

ulimit -a

[root@dbprod ~]# ulimit -n
1024

[root@dbprod ~]# uname -a
Linux dbprod 2.6.9-22.ELsmp #1 SMP Mon Sep 19 18:32:14 EDT 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Just a (standard) warning, it does not check if there is a problem or not, just the value.
You can ignore it.
