Could someone help me proceed with the installation??

Thanks in advance!

As per document; do you have all necessary RPM packages??

UBUNTU does NOT use RPM; which is part of the challenge to getting Oracle installed on this unsupported OS.

I believe the Alien package in Debian handles this.

Anyways, thanks all. I got Oracle 11g database installed, and running well on my 64bit Ubuntu server machine. Smile Installation of all 32 bit binaries for gcc (link below) did it.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/source/hardy/gcc-4.2

Thanks!
