Hello - I have flat file which stays in Windows server. I have shell script in unix box and it loads the
flat file(flat file is sitting in windows machine) into oracle database. Windows group can not ftp
the files into unix box. So i need to share the windows directory in unix box... Any suggestion is highly appreciated...

Thanks

look into smbclient or smbsh or some kind of samba implementation (depends on the *nix you are using and that your sysdamins would support).
Either the way, this is a bad idea.

Well,
You are extending your database server to a file in another (black) box. That is a security risk.
You are adding an external dependency to the Oracle server. If the remote node/drive is not available, your functionality will break.
