Alignment of the report output containing Japanse Characters [message #173201]

hi all,

Im working on Oracle appications 11i (10.5.9).
We have multilanguage enabled using english,chinese and japanese. So for items defined in oracle inventory, we store the japanese description for the item in the attribute column.

I have a report which shows the item information which inclueds english description, japanese description and other columns.

In the report layout, the fields which are displayed before the japanese characters are displayed fine but the fields which are dispalyed after the japanese decription are not aligned properly. They either move towards the japanese characters or they move to the next line.

Any comments as to why is this happening ??
