For the first time, I'm trying to use APEX in a pluggable container.

I removed APEX from the root container, and installed it into my pluggable container. The ANONYMOUS and XDB schemas are common and unlocked, APEX_PUBLIC_USER, APEX_050000, and FLOWS_FILES schemas are local. Is that right? I'm using the EPG, and the DAD is there in the PDB.

Problem is that when I issue the URL to connect to APEX, I get the "Authentication Required" response from XDB. I would usually associated this with a problem with the schemas.

Has anyone tried to configure APEX this way? Did it work? The docs do not seem to be complete.

Thank you for any insight.
