Dear all,

In 10g , the commit mode could be altered in through the commit_write parameter

For instance : 'alter session set commit_write=BATCH,NOWAIT '

Could it be an issue to used the 'Batch / Nowait' mode on a Oracle instance using Dataguard (DB is setup with a standby DB) ?

Thanks in advance for your answers

John Watson has posted some good stuff about commit_write parameter. Search OraFAQ for his blog, it will give you more understanding, might not be directly applicable in your case. If you can't find his blog on searching, then go to General forum and check out the link for good blogs topic, you will certainly find his blog there.
