Dear All,

I would like to protect Oracle Database Entry that nobody can directly logon to DB and monitor data files, data tables etc... There are default users in all Oracle Databases like SYS,SYSTEM,SCOTT that password's known by everyone. So I would like to be sure that these users are not used by anyone. So I am planning to change passwords of all these users but there are many oracle DB versions from Oracle 8 to 11g.

So May I kindly request all experienced Admins to guide me how many users we have in different version Oracle DBs that I need to change passwords to eliminate this risk ?

I would be grateful if you also have any other recommendation that I should do to protect my DB against any other trial ?

Kind Regards,
Dr. Meriç Yıldırım

The DBA_USERS_WITH_DEF_PWD view may help.
