HI All,

When I am trying to make a directory with the below command

[oracle@Oracle10g practice]$ mkdir sqldr

Below error occurs:
mkdir: cannot create directory `sqldr': Permission denied

But i am able to make directory out side of the PRACTICE Directory.

Question:
1) How to give permission to make any directory inside another directory?

Regards:
Muktha

1) Get the appropriate permission on the current directory. Ask your sysadmin. This is basic Unix.

This question bears no real connection with Oracle.
Please find a more appropriate forum.
