Hi,

Is it possible to create a date prompt in dashboard without using a date column, like by having a default value for the Date such as '01/05/2010' and using it as a prompt?

yes,by using presentation variable.create a prompt and set the value for the variable as @(variablename)

may be try it by storing it as repository variable and use it in the dash board prompt.
