Hi,

I am to start working on BI Publisher to create some reports, the customer is looking forward for increasing the query performance of the existing reports as well.,

which can be done in two different approaches.

i) Create view on large Transaction tables which have millions of transactions (Banking ). Create queries in XDO which Call this views , and use all aggregrate functions (it is Statistical Report) on the XDO query.

ii) Create Package which pulls the required data to global temporary reports and use aggregate functions on the XDO query to create the report. XDO will call the global temporary tables and refer the Package.

But these two approach, I don't think will improve the query performance. Can anyone suggest any other approach to increase the query and report performance.

Thanks,

Nirmal
