Hi all,

I have a quick question about the performance of Oracle Text indexes:

Are there any guidelines on what the size of DEFAULT_INDEX_MEMORY should be depending on the size of your index?
I assume I have not set DEFAULT_INDEX_MEMORY high enough, as my index is still a little fragmented after rebuilding it.

I have read through all the Oracle documentation on this subject, but I did not find any recommendations for the size I should be using.

If anyone could let me know where I could find more information about this, that would be fantastic.

Thanks in advance,

Jason

The following is an excerpt from the online documentation:

"You should aim to set the DEFAULT_INDEX_MEMORY value as high as possible, without causing paging."
