I have a Portal Form that enters a record into a table. How do I create an audit trail by recording the user name of the user who edits the record using the form?

When the record is created, the user name field is automatically populated with the user name, but when the record is updated, how to I change the user name field automatically if it already has a value?

TIA

Have you considered using a database trigger on your table?

Yes. I was hoping for a Portal Form solution, but am considering either a trigger or javascript to set the fields correctly.

Added a Before Insert trigger to modify the fields.
